Mungo Park (September 11, 1771 – 1806) was a Scottish explorer of the African continent. He was credited as being the first Westerner to encounter the Niger River.

Yours was a great interview. How about sharing a little more information about Mungo Park? Thanks for this hardly known fact about African life. Makes you realize why the Europeans (back in the day) did not want the Africans to know the skill of swimming.
