Published two books on competitive swimming. First book "Swimming Against the Odds" conveys how a competitive swimming program for minorities was started and succeeded in the inner city of Houston. Second book "Shimmy to Gold: Kelley's Story" is about the exploits of and African American female who wanted to achieve at the elite levels of competitive swimming in America. The book begins with her first efforts in summer league competition , age group, High school , collegiate competition and then on to Olympic trials competition.
