Errol Duplessis here. I was surfing the scuba membership and came across your information. I am sure that you and your club are getting lots of attention by now. But I was curious about your remark regarding the Atlanta Underwater Explorers. You mentioned that you are not associated with a dive shop or any certifying agency. Oh-hh-h, that makes your club a practicioner of isolationism, which means exclusivity rather than being inclusive. A dive shop owned by an African-American has no chance of being selected or doing business with your club. Also, by not being affiliated with an agency, your club cannot qualify for their liability insurance through an agency such as PADI, etc. I am not trying to be mean or rude, just asking questions, so please take no offense. For what it is worth, the scuba club at Hampton University was named the Underwater Explorers when it was formed in 1983; right now, the club is inactive. Take care.

Dr. Jones has afforded us the opportunity to travel all over the world, in addition to pushing us to acquire additional cetrifications.
