The goal of our Diversity in Aquatics Program (DAP) is to help create and promote more local DAP programs, as well as to create a forum for interaction, communication, and news.

Welcome!

In the United States 10 people drown per day; over 370,000 people drown worldwide each year!

Welcome to the Diversity in Aquatics professional network! The goal of the Diversity in Aquatics Program (DAP) is to help create, promote and support programs in the US and abroad in an effort to decrease the rate of drowning victims worldwide. It also serves as a forum for interaction, communication, and news to promote diversity within the aquatic community. We hope you enjoy the network and website, and urge you to invite other friends and professional associates. Please send any questions, comments or postings to the site founders Shaun Anderson or Jayson Jackson.

United States Congressman Fattah welcomes you to the Diversity in Aquatics network!

I have been away from DAP for a few days, so I am just checking in to see what is happening. And thanks for using my Dad's quote in your blog, I saw it. Try this, Angela. You question if the culture of the African-American as it relates to swimming…

I like that, Kathleen. A natural body sport. Very true. It bothered me to watch the Duel in the Pool, the last meet where the super suit was allowed, and see Nathan Adrian compete against Michael Phelps. Adrian won, and he was wearing the super suit…

I am both an open water and US Master's pool competitor. I, like Naji, just want the water on my body. As far as the new suits go.......let's keep it simple and keep the playing field level. Even though we are in the high tech age, swimming is a nat…

It was exciting to watch records shatter with the advent of the super suit. What do you think about USA swimming and FINA changing the swimsuit guidelines? Are the records now out of reach, or is this the way to level the playing field?
